BOOKING & MUSIC
Can we choose the music?
Absolutely—for your ceremony, first dance and any meaningful moments.
For the drinks reception and party, we perform a carefully crafted repertoire that has been refined through years of live performance. Every song has earned its place, allowing us to create a natural flow and atmosphere throughout your event.
Do you learn new songs?
Yes! We’re always happy to learn your aisle song, first dance or another special request where possible.
Can you perform instrumentals for ceremony?
Of course! We are more than happy to perform an instrumental version of your chosen song, either have both of us play guitars or one musician only.
Do you offer a live band as well?
Yes! Alongside our acoustic duo, we also offer a 4-piece live band upgrade.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our original line-up is as follows: vocals, backing vocals, rhythm acoustic guitar, lead electric guitar & optional stomp box. Mira can also perform solo.
PLANNING YOUR EVENT
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I'm sure we can come to an agreement smoothly. We try to stay as flexible as possible at all times.
Can you provide a playlist before and between your sets?
Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free in-between our sets. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we can provide this for an additional fee.
How much time do you need to set up?
We usually set up about 45-60mins before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!
Can you perform outside?
In the months of April to September, we are more than happy to perform outside granted the weather is appropriate, however between the months of October to March we would typically say no as it is too cold for our instruments, equipment and us! We treat outdoor performances on a case by case basis however, and will assess in the run up to your event whether we think it will be manageable.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Is all of the equipment (PA & lighting) included?
Yes. We provide professional PA equipment suitable for most weddings and events. If your venue has specific requirements, we’ll be happy to work with them.
Is your equipment PAT tested, and do you have Public Liability Insurance?
All our equipment is PAT tested yearly, and we have Public Liability Insurance up to £10 million.
Do you travel?
Absolutely. We’re based in Glasgow but perform throughout Scotland, across the UK and internationally.
Do you charge travel expenses?
For events outside our local area, travel and, where necessary, accommodation may be charged. Any additional costs will always be clearly outlined in your quote before you book.
PEACE OF MIND
What happens if one of the musicians is unavailable?
Mira K is built around me, performing alongside a small team of exceptional musicians I’ve worked with over the years. Depending on availability, I’ll perform with one of these musicians while delivering the same setup, style and experience you’ve come to expect from Mira K.
What happens if you’re unwell on the day?
In the unlikely event that I’m unable to perform due to illness or another unforeseen circumstance, I’ll do everything I can to arrange a suitable replacement from my trusted network of professional musicians.
If a replacement isn’t possible, any payments made for my performance will be refunded in line with the terms of your booking agreement.
Thankfully, this is something I’ve never had to do—but it’s important to me that you know there’s always a plan in place.
